MY JOURNEY SO FAR
Originally from Halifax West Yorkshire, I moved to Newcastle for university in 2018 to study Graphic Design wherein I achieved a 2:1. I specialised in branding and learnt core skills of the design process, from conducting research and insight development to producing a complete brand with assets.
For the last 2 years I have been working as an in-house graphic designer at Hays Travel where I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects spanning from social assets to editorial print brochures.
One of my biggest successes was working on a marketing campaign for a high profile cruise ship company which generated £2million in sales on its launch weekend, putting the company ahead of its competitors.
I continually make an effort to improve as a graphic designer by keeping up with new trends or learning new techniques. Recently, I have been improving my knowledge of Adobe After Effects to be able to support in creating more engaging artwork and have learnt how to build email marketing campaigns from scratch.
In the last 6 months I have also taken on the responsibility of being the company's photographer. Prior to this I had very little photography skills but I've come to really enjoy the process and seeing how I have improved with each event or shoot.
